Who is the Apprenticeship for?

The Lead Practitioner in Adult Care is for those assessing performance and quality of clear delivery. Those working in your teams across residential or nursing homes, domiciliary care, day centres, a persons home or a some cinical healthcare settings. As we as cover Lead Practitioner in Adult Care standard we will also cover Lead Personal Assistant who can work as a senior level. 

The Apprenticeship Programme

All apprenticeship standards have their own criteria for the knowledge, skills and behaviours that will be developed over the apprenticeship programme.

End Point Assessment

To achieve final certification, the Apprentice must have an appropriate place, with internet access, to undertake the End-Point Assessment (EPA).

The EPA consists of three distinct components:


The duration of the Level 4 Lead Practitioner in Adult Care will typically be 18 – 20 months.

The minimum duration on programme before an apprentice can take the end-point assessment is 15 months.
